Install the app first
Grok Bot is not a website you just open. It is an app. Mac and Windows, and iPhone. There is no Linux desktop app.
Step 1Computer
Open the official page and download for your machine: cursor.com/bot/onboarding. Same downloads live on x.ai/bot. Install, then open it.
Step 2Phone
On iPhone, get it from the App Store: Grok Bot. Sign in with the same Cursor account you use on the computer. Android and iPad are not there yet. You cannot update the Computer from the phone.
Step 3Sign in with Cursor
On the welcome screen hit Get started, or Sign In with Cursor from Settings. Same account you already use in Cursor. Do not invent a new password.
I am on Cursor Pro+. $60 a month. Grok Bot is in that plan. Two options: Cursor Pro+ for $60, or SuperGrok Plus for $100. Cursor Pro is $20, but it does not include Grok Bot. Prices: cursor.com/pricing.

Your first agent
Ten minutes. No code. A name, one job, one task today.
Step 4Give it a name and a job
The name is short. The description is the job. One sentence, the way you would tell a person. "Blog writer" is a job. "AI assistant that knows everything" is not.
Step 5Look at the Computer, then leave it
Click the name in the chat header, or Cmd+Shift+I. You get a live preview of its Computer. Open it, confirm the machine is there, close it. Install nothing on day one. Skip Routines too. Those arrive the second time you hand over the same job.
What it is for. A chatbot answers whatever you ask. An agent does one job, every day, to the same rules, without you explaining it again.

One real job today
Do not say "help me". Give it a job with several steps that stops for your yes. This one is inbox automation.
Inbox automation
What it is for. In the morning it opens the inbox, sorts unread, drafts replies in your voice, and stops when money, a date, or a contract is on the table. Sending stays yours.
How to start. Call it Inbox. Put the description in the description field. Then paste the job below in chat. When it hits a login, you sign in on the Computer. The session stays.
