Most AI influencers die in the first month for the same three reasons: the face is generically beautiful, there is nobody behind it, and the character looks like a different person in every post. People scroll past a pretty face. They follow a person.
If you want the big picture of why AI influencers are taking over, start with my earlier guide. This one is pure workflow: seven steps from an empty page to a character people recognize from video to video.
Build the character before the face
The face is packaging. The character is the product. Before you generate a single image, write a one page character bible. Think of it as the casting brief a director gives an actor: without it, every scene gets played by a different person.
Character bible templateCHARACTER BIBLE Name: Age: Lives in (city, neighborhood): Does all day: Flaw or quirk: Talks like (3 words): Catchphrase: Would never: Content theme (one topic only): Visual signature (appears in every video): Dream life (the feeling the page sells):
Quick test. If you can't predict what your character would say about a new iPhone, a breakup and bad coffee, the bible isn't finished.
Design an interesting face, not a perfect one
Perfect symmetry, poreless skin, the same small nose. That is the default output of every image model, which is exactly why it disappears in the feed. The brain stops on what is slightly off.
Pick two or three of these, not seven:
- Asymmetry: one eyebrow higher, a crooked smile
- Freckles or visible skin texture
- A gap between the front teeth
- Strong, thick eyebrows
- A broken or bumpy nose
- Age lines, laugh lines, grey streaks
- Unusual eye color or two different eye colors
Think of the actors you remember. Almost none of them have "perfect" faces. The detail that breaks the template is the detail that makes them castable. Same with your character. Too many quirks though, and it turns into a cartoon.
Create the character in Higgsfield AI Influencer Studio
Higgsfield AI Influencer Studio lets you design a character with controls instead of long prompts. You shape the face, age, features and style, and the tool keeps the same face across images and videos. That consistency is the hardest part of running an AI influencer, and this tool is built around it.
Open it with your character bible next to you and translate each line into the controls. Give yourself an hour just to explore. Your first face is rarely the right one.
Don't settle early. Make several variations, put them side by side, close the tab, come back tomorrow. Keep the face you still remember.
Lock consistency with a reference set
This set is your actor. Every generation from now on starts by attaching images from it. Save it in one folder named after the character.
Tip. Keep the lighting similar across the face references. Mixed lighting in references gives you mixed faces in videos.
Turn images into videos with Seedance 2.5
The formula for every shot:
character reference + location reference + one action + camera movement + lighting + mood
The rules that keep your character recognizable:
- Always attach the same reference images. Never "just this once" without them.
- Describe the visual signature in every prompt, even if it's in the reference.
- One action per shot. Pour coffee. Not pour coffee, call mom and dance.
- Keep shots short, 5 to 10 seconds. Longer shots drift.
- Stitch the shots together in editing. That's where the story lives.
Here are three prompts for the same character: Mari, 31, a ceramicist in Yerevan. Visual signature: silver hoop in her left ear and a mustard yellow scarf.

Give the page a content system
A TV channel doesn't air random shows. It has a schedule, and you know what you'll get. Recurring formats do the same thing for your character: they give people a reason to follow, not just to watch once. One viral video brings views. Formats bring followers.
Pick three or four and repeat them every week. For Mari:
- Day in my studio. Morning to night in 30 seconds.
- My honest opinion on… Mass produced mugs, Instagram pottery trends, clients who want "something like IKEA".
- A running joke. The neighbor who orders a vase every week and never picks it up.
- A series. "Day 12 of making the same cup until it's perfect."
Rule. Every format must fit the content theme from your bible. If it doesn't, it's a different page.
Label it and plan brand deals
Instagram asks creators to label realistic AI generated content, so use the AI label. Being open is part of the appeal, not a weakness. My own Reel proves it: the comments were full of "is she real or AI?" That moment of doubt is the hook. Keep it, don't hide from it.
Brands don't buy follower count. They buy an engaged audience, a clear niche and a character who looks the same every time. A grandma who reviews gadgets is a perfect fit for an electronics store. A random pretty face fits nobody.
Be realistic. Brand deals take months of consistent posting. Pitch when you have a stable posting rhythm and your best videos to show, not after three posts.
